Mal was sitting in the cockpit with Wash watching the black just role on by, something wasn’t right and he was sure he hadn’t seen the planet there before. He looked out the window and a saw another he didn’t recognize and turned to Wash.
“Ok, where in darn hell are we?” He was a little firm with that question and the look in his eyes that he wasn’t joking was very apparent.

"Let me just check the nav sat"
Sound’s confident
"Yep, yep, yea" smiles smugly "Were Lost, what, I think we may want to stop and ask for directions, by We I mean, you Mal, just choose one”

Mal crosses his arms and looks out the window his eyes flicking from planet to planet before he runs his hand through his hair "Well I always go with whichever is the prettiest, But since their all gorram ugly, lets go with whichever has oxygen.”
He laughs a little and keeps a look out for anything , anything that all that could tell them where they are.

Jayne walks into the cockpit at this point after over hearing Mal and Wash talking, the two of them turn and look at Jayne who says in his usual smug sounding voice
"You got us lost again Wash, thats the second time this week!"
Wash just turns back around just ignoring Jayne's comments, he has got to be used to them by now right, Mal now turns to Wash and as the two try to figure out which planet to go to Jayne walks up to the front of the cockpit points at the window confidently taking charge.
"That one boys... that one!"
As Jayne touches the window, pointing towards the faint planet in the distance he realises what he was pointing to was actually.... dust of the window, classic Jayne making a fool out of himself again

Mal shook his head and gave a little smirk at Wash
“Set course for the tiny dust planet of the window”
Mal yawns and looks around to see if anyone else would like to join In on this slightly insane conversation then turns back to Wash.
“Ok just pick one and fly towards it, hopefully we’ll find a settlement with some human life” He turns to Jayne.
“ And uhh, Maybe you could go back to helping Kaylee in the engine room, she needs her shinys polished”

Jayne didn't like that one bit as he stares at Mal, Jayne looks like he is about to do somehting about it... surely this can't be good for Mal?
"Yeah well Capt'n, you know im tired of having to take orders around here, your not the boss of me, so you know what im gonna do..."
Mal throws Jayne a look, Mal isn't messing around anymore and i think Jayne realises that as he says
"Im gonna go help Kaylee in the engine room, after all she needs her shinys polished"
Jayne shakes his head, turns around and leaves the cockpit

"OK" long pause "I think we should go to the planet on the right, OK?"
Flicks the three magic switches and starts to descend towards the right planet. Still laughing about Jayne's reaction.

Mal shrugged “Just as long as we get there in one piece I don’t care” He turned and headed for the dining room where he was going to take a long and very much needed drink.
“Just keep everything shiny up here and I won’t have to get Zoe to kick your ass, unless you two like that sort of thing, can never tell” he chuckled and headed out.

Inara sat at the table drumming her fingers on her cup. He was lost again! She had overheard a bit of the conversation between Mal and Wash. “ I can’t believe it…” Taking the last sip of her drink Inara then got up and took it over to the counter.
“Can no one pick up after themselves?” Inara muttered to herself as she looked at the counter full of dishes. Putting the cup down a little harder then she needed to, Inara then started on the task of cleaning.

Mal walked in and sat at the table noticing Inara out of her shuttle for some reason. He walked over to her and leant against the sink smiling a little smugly at her.
"You look happy" he said sarcastically "Well were lost so unless you want to whore with the people on the ship, then there ain’t any business around here"
He brushed his hand through his hair and shrugged “Oh and Jayne has a lot of money kept under his bunk for just such an occasion, And so do I, but we won’t go into that” he chuckled and grabbed a drink from the counter then swinging his feet onto the table as he sat down.
“Seriously though, were heading for an unknown planet, if there’s any business there…it’ll be pretty foolish to pursue it”.
Mal was generally worried about her but didn't quite show it, although most could sense the concern for his crewmembers in him...even for Simon and River.

Inara knew the moment Mal walked in. After a few moments Inara couldn’t take anymore of the silence. “What are you looking at?” That smug smile of his told her that he was up to something.
“I know you’re lost, your always lost.” Turning back to the dishes Inara gets back to cleaning just to be interrupted again. “I am not a whore!” Hurt that Mal had once again called her a whore she quickly hides it from him. He didn’t need to know how much it bothered her.
“A petty thief such as you or Jayne? You must really think I am a whore to go to such levels.” Inara took a deep breath, Mal had always had the knack for getting her temper up. “Mal even if you were the richest person in the universe I would never spend my time with you.” She says angrily.
“Foolish to pursue it? I will pursue anything I want to, I can take care of myself. Maybe I will get lucky and find a few more clients.” She gives him a big grin because she knew that she hit a nerve with him. “Well let me know when we get there, I will have to go and see if there are any prospects on this unknown planet. Who knows maybe you did me a favor for once.”
She watches Mal grab his drink. She then decides to change the topic. “Since you are the Captain of this thing it is your responsibility to make sure everything is equal and fare to all that are aboard it. I am not here to be everyone’s maid, therefor I will not be cleaning this place again until everyone else has done it. “

Jayne pops his head through a door way into the room suddenly, an impatient look on his face as if hearing something he needed to find out about now...
"Did someone say whore?"
Jayne sees both Inara and Mal just shoot stupid looks in his direction
"What i was just asking... damn i can't say a word on this boat with out..."
Jayne walks off out of the room talking to himself on his way back to the engine room, we hear him mumbling down the halls, Serenity nears the planet now and begins to make its approach on the unkown planets atmosphere

Jayne takes the first step out into the new open world they have just landed upon, he looks at Peter still standing there and it isn't long as usual for Jayne to open his mouth
"Out of all the places you choose to stand... i mean you did happen to see this big old bucket of bolts practically about to land on you didn't you..."
Jayne says in an almost sarcastic tone, he walks towards peter who doesn't respond yet
"hello..."
Jayne waves his hand in front of Peter, before looking back at the rest of the crew
"Well don't just stand there... i'm sure theres more to this place than one guy who doesn't want to talk!"
Somehow i just think he doesn't want to talk to Jayne, but who does right?

Planet is small, dusty, and a piece of crap. There are no ships to be stolen, no food to be eaten, and she'd pretty damn sure that not one person on this entire piece of shit knows anything about medicine, or life, or history, or art, or anything else for that matter. She taps the desk rapidly, bitter intonations in time, and thinks. Blood stopped two days ago, infection's bound to be all riled up.
Slaine closes her eyes tight, sticks a piece a metal between her teeth, and gets out her knife. Bullet shards--little bits of metal beneath her skin, crawling, itching, making her flesh surge and button and tie and she feels sick with the nausea to think that this is how she had let her deevolve. Shakespeare and writers and medicine to bullet shards and a way to pick them. One, two, three --- she takes a deep, shaking stab and begins to pick the way out, screaming into the metal. The small cottage rings with her anger and she pulled out two more. The morphine she had injected not ten minutes before isn't enough.
It hurts. This stupid gorram planet and it hurts.
Slaine curssd Malcolm Reynolds, for all his stupid war talk, for her own father, and mostly for the man that had shot her solid with the bullet. The stupid planet. Stupid dust.
The little Irish sniper knows that this was going to be a bad day.
